Dublin soul reaches the music capital of the world Memphis Tennessee as Musical Youth Foundation CEO Chris Maher is interviewed by the paper of record the Memphis Daily News and described as “Memphis soul music’s greatest ambassador”.

“Maher’s mission to promote and preserve soul music includes passing it on to the next generation through the Musical Youth Foundation children’s charity, which provides musical instruments and tuition to underprivileged children in Dublin,” it states. Right on!

Chris first visited Memphis in 2003 to cover the Grand Opening of the Stax Museum of American Soul Music where he was officially adopted as an Honorary Tennessean and Ambassador of Soul Music along with some of the world’s leading soul men.
