Musical Youth Foundation to receive support from Ireland’s Music Champion, IMRO!
The donation of €1,750. will help towards the cost of providing vulnerable children with access to life-changing music education classes
The Musical Youth Foundation children’s charity is delighted to announce that IMRO (Irish Music Rights Organisation) has joined our growing list of supporters.
The donation will help to cover the cost of the foundations’ ‘Guitars for Kids’ programme which currently provides over 200 children, that otherwise wouldn’t get the chance, with access to life-changing music education programmes including weekly guitar lessons, practise sessions, instruments and specialist workshops in singing, song-writing and live-performance.
Children participating with the project experience a wide variety of benefits including, but not limited to increased self-confidence, concentration and social skills. Music education is known to help improve the overall academic performance and can help to ensure children at-risk of becoming early school leavers remain engaged with the overall education process.
The charity is committed to making #EducationEquality a reality for Ireland’s most vulnerable young people and support from IMRO will bring us one step closer to achieving our goal.
Chris Maher, Musical Youth Foundation Founder and CEO, says: “We are really thrilled to receive support from the Irish Music Rights Organisation. Ensuring kids have access to music education is a vital component to ensuring the future of the Irish Music Industry and promoting the value of music in a download generation.”
Keith Johnson, Director of Marketing & Membership for IMRO says; “IMRO is delighted to support this exciting music education programme aimed at children throughout the country. Providing the right foundation stones for the music creators of the future is essential for the long-term strength of the music industry in Ireland”
Anyone interested in supporting the charity in its work to bring music education equality to all children can do so by making a donation or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
