Instrument Bank

Bank of Ireland & Musical Youth Foundation – Instrument Bank

The Musical Youth Foundation and Bank of Ireland want to help children, that otherwise wouldn’t get the opportunity, access life-changing music education programmes.

Together with the good folks at Bank of Ireland we’re asking you to bring your old, unused and even broken (but not too broken) musical instruments to your local participating Bank of Ireland branch. We especially love getting guitars of all kinds. We accept most instruments but draw the line at anything you can’t carry into your local bank…so no pianos please. If you’ve got an old bass drum or floor tom we’ll turn them into Instrumental Furniture and sell them in our online shop and then use the funds to pay for music lessons.

If you’ve already donated an instrument…Thank You very much for your support! Please leave us your details below and will enter you into a draw to win a piece of cool Instrumental Art. Just leave us your email address and we’ll keep you informed of how we use your donations and update you on the draw in due course. (Draw will take place in January 2017)

Don’t worry if you don’t have any instrument to donate, you can donate to us via paypal and we’ll use the funds to support our growing Guitars for Kids programmes. We’ve currently got projects running in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Kilkenny, Mayo and Offaly. With your support we can expand to every county and help hundreds of children to benefit from a musical education.
